Queenscliff is about 90 minutes’ drive from Melbourne and 30 minutes from Geelong, at the tip of the Bellarine Peninsula. From the Mornington Peninsula, the Sorrento ferry crosses the bay in about 40 minutes, and public transport connects through Geelong.
