Queenscliff is small, and that shapes where you stay more than anything else. The town centre, the harbour, the railway station, Fort Queenscliff and the ferry terminal are all within an easy walk of one another, so a bed anywhere near Hesse Street means you can leave the car parked for the weekend. Everything below is somewhere in or around that walkable core, or a short drive from it.

Choosing where to stay

Pick the type first — it narrows things down faster than browsing every property in town.

When to book ahead

Queenscliff has a handful of weekends each year when it fills completely, and the rest of the year when it does not. Worth knowing before you plan:

Staying nearby

If Queenscliff itself is full, Point Lonsdale is a few minutes down the road and shares the same beaches and much of the same quiet. Across the heads, Sorrento is reachable on the car ferry, which also takes foot passengers — a reasonable fallback if you are not tied to this side of the bay.
